About — Chris Astles

I've spent 15+ years designing products, remotely, across physical and digital. I started in private aviation, designing VIP aircraft interiors, then went freelance — building marketplaces, sports technology, and e-commerce.

In 2021 I moved into Web3, leading zero-to-one products since: Gelato Cloud, the infrastructure platform that helped onboard major Ethereum L2 rollups; ClubRare, the first phygital NFT marketplace — where the brand work ended up in Times Square; and Sorbet, as founding designer on a stablecoin tool for cross-border payments in MENA.

Today I'm at Thesis, revamping the experience of Mezo's BitcoinFi dApp — helping BTC holders put their Bitcoin to work, borrowing and earning against it.

Alongside it all, I build — tools, workflows, and data pipelines, mostly solo, increasingly with AI in the loop.
